i did start a thread on this but i have cant find it.

what have people done to there fuel filler hose thing?
my tyre is rubbing on the actual hose. i have a long drive coming up and because off river crossings
i dont want to risk putting a hole in the hose.

i could prevent it with 200mm bumpstops or moving the diff forwards however that
isn't a great solution.

anyone have any 50mm wheel spacers i could borrow?

Can you easily move the tank and filler? Reroute the hose somehow? Smaller hose maybe? Seems like less work to do that than dick about with suspension etc

I have held mine back with a couple of hose clamps,

Works a treat, and my diff is moved back 25mm.

I have seen a couple with the filler on the tray above the tank. I'm going to do this on mine and just flip the seat to fill up. Not so good if you want to carry a load for a long distance.

not easily if i had a bigger body lift then i probably would be able to fit it the other
side of the chassis.

one of the issues is i have to grab the bits while i am in town so i dunno what i need.

brenno. that might be the go. have ya had any issues with the hose clamps rubbing through the hose?

i replaced mine with a smaller diameter steel pipe and ran it through between the chassis and the body. then just used small pieces of rubber tube to join inbetween the metal bits

could always trim a bit out of the body where it runs above the filler pipe.

im looking at doing this for my 50 as it has similar issues

mine would take a lot of extra work then normal to fit a bigger body lift. the other issue i have is i am only going to have tools
for 2 or 3 days and still have a house to pack.
i hope to be able to get going from elcho around the end of the month but it all depends
on when i can post my boat in and when i can charter a boat to drop me on the mainland.

i just used zipties to pull it back and against the chassis more, give yourself some more length in the pipe... this will help

Short term you could just take the hose off after filling the zook. Put a plug over the tank hole.

zip ties it is i wonder what the next thing is that the 33s will affect.

when i took mine through engineering and had to put springs on the brake lines to stop them rubbing on things (ie hold them out of the way but still allow them to extend) i was told to wrap the line in electrical tape, a good 5 or so layers, then use a hose clamp to attach the spring to. I've still not worn through the electrical tape (its not budged).

mine are flash jobbies with the spring clip under the outer sheath. no dodgy WA stuff here

I strapped mine back similar strap to a ratchet strap, but the push button type.. Had no dramas with pump flow.



Dont look at the shackle angle. I was sorting out problems.
