x2. Sticky compound tyres will do no better then muddies on that sort of terrain. Pure rock crawling is where they come into their own.

My last trip to Yalwal (which has similar terrain to that of the wattagans) we had one rig with radial baja claws, one with mickey thompson MTZ and one with 37" sticky treps. They all drove exactly the same distance up all of the tracks before getting stuck. The guy with the stickies said, and I quote "stickies are only good on rock, and only rock. They are no better than muddies when you've got dirt sections in between"
