Ok its still in the car can you remove the transfercase with out removeing the gearbox from the car.

I think I have all the bolts removed that hold the 2 together but then when looking through the floor to the top of the box the shifter seems to be bolted on top of the transfercase.

Im doing this to convert to a siera case for my comp truck have been told it can be done .

Any help would be great otherwise i will drop the lot tomorrow and have a look see.

not really cos to get them apart you have to remove the selector housing that lays back onto the transfer and the last bolt holding them together is hidden under that, maybe with a 2in BL you could plausibly do it, but its not hard to drop the whole lot and split

hoping this means I can get t-case off the gearbox, in car

Make yourself an inspection plate, so you can get to it from above, in car?
