Hey guys. My little project sierra is missing the nut that holds the handbrake drum onto the shaft from the rear of the transfer.

Can anyone tell me the specs of that particular nut so i can source a new one?

car is a SJ40 1 litre 4 speed.

Thanks in advance!

Whenever i've needed one of these I just use genuine. Got a spare transfer kicking around to donate one?

Could try Genuine parts?

Early transfer without light switch is P/N 09159-18003.
Late transfer with light switch is P/N 29951-83050.

When you put it in 4wd, does a "4wd" light come on either on the dash near the keys or in the instrument cluster?

Not sure. Hasn't got a battery in it at this moment. You would think that cause there is a plug coming out of the transfer it would be a transfer with a switch in it right??

Alright so i discovered it is a transfer without the light switch. i ordered the correct part ...09159-18003 and the nut seems too small and will not even start on the thread. I have tried the one for the light switched transfer and it is too big, you cant tighten it without it slipping back some threads. Can anyone shed some light on what might be the problem?
