Thanks for the words Darkhorse, much appreciated. I do like the little vit's and i will buy one if the jeep sells soon.

I suppose its just something to mess around with and enjoy, possibly even turn it into a project oneday. But for now it seems like a good candidate for what im after and if i treat it right it will, hopefully,serve me well.

haha yeah for sure, where abouts in melbourne are you from? Im in stalbans and usually head out to wombat with a white jimny and a few hiluxs and patrols.

Like it has been said before, It comes down to learning on how hard and where you can push the Vit. I broke a few CV's when I first bought my Vit but now I know what it doesn't like. Most of the breakages were from being silly. In the past year or so I've only broken 1 CV and that was only recently and that was because it was already on it's way out.

What ever you do don't waste your time buying a manual. get a auto. on road it will get you off the line no problems and have a lower rpm at 100. I've had both a manual and now the auto. Off road its just so much better its not funny!

My vitara is a 1.6 auto lwb and i had 31's on it for daily duty. I've never broke a cv except when the boots crack then they get full of shit.

its hard enough to find a manual one with a bit of work done to it, let alon an auto, so im gonna take whatever i can get that is in a good condition and at the right price i suppose.

I wouldn't be trying to find one with stuff already done to it. You'll be buying someone else's idea of how to modify a car, and it's 100% going to have been off road, where you don't know how it was treated/driven.
Look for a clean stocker IMHO.
