I've been searching for the answers to a coupla questions for a while now and not come up with anything yet and wondered if someone might know the answers or maybe have any info

Central locking.
At the moment the way ti works is you turn the drivers door key once to unlock the door and then a second time to unlock the rest of the doors. This is normal according got the manual so it not a fault, but just wondering if anyone knows if there is a way to change this so just one turn opens all doors.
I'm thinking it might be as simple as a trigger in the door that needs changing.

Cruise control
I'm on the lookout for cruise control to fit. My preference is for OEM if I can find it and just wondered if the XL7 has bit and pieces that will fit the GV

Beeping key
When the key is in the ign and the door is open the car beeps at me (beep, beep, beep.........). The same beep (beeeeeeeeeeeeeep constantly) also sounds when the lights are left on and the door opened. Can the beep that tells me the key is in the ign be disabled while the lights on beep be left alone

cheers

Im pretty sure you can reprogram the puter for the single press for the doors. Not sure how but i have read somwhere that is possible.

As for the cruise ......it would be awsome if the cruise from an Xl7 would fit but it would be alot easier to get and possibly fit an aftermarket system.

And im unsure about the beeper. Not sure why you would bother as i never drive with doors open so its not an issue.

we had luxs when i was overseas and it used to beep for every little thing you did. Because we alway had the door open so we could listen to the music when working we just disconnected the little sensor button that tells you when the door is open but the only down side to that is you don't get the interior light come on when the door is open.

Im sure there is a better way

I just fitted aftermarket cruise control. it was the top vacuum operated one, was about $390 from autobarn with 20% off. it was to expensive to go electric actuator. I use it every day as I start work/finish work after dark when theres no traffic and I travell about 20km's of high way each way.

it's got a stalk for controls so it all look stockish. One day when I'm bored I'm going to hook the LED in the stalk up to the dash light as a bit of a novelty.

I called a few dealers, head office and coupla suzi specialists and the consensus I got are not favorable unfortunately.

Central locking - Cannot change it to be one turn of the key opens every door. I'm still keen to pull the door trim to have a look how it all works but think I will end up living with it as I reckon it'll be controlled via a black box somewhere that will need a reflash of code or something like that to change it's behavior

Beeping key - Cannot be changed so that engine off->key in->open door doesn't beep but key out->door open->lights on does. A couple of places went as far to say that the engine off->key in->open door beep was a safety feature and should never ever be disabled Image. I could possibly interrupt the signal to the beeper/noise maker bit however this will have the effect of disabling both beeps I think and I really want to keep the key out->door open->lights on beep as a "hey dickhead, you left your lights on" warning.

[b]Cruise control[/c] - Still looking for all the OEM bits if I can find em but I reckon I'll be having to go the aftermarket route in the end which is a bummer as I like to have a stock look if I can.
