get 2x M8 molts, and wind them into the threaded holes of the face of the rotor hat. This will push the rotor off the hub.

you will see threaded holes in the rotor. Put small bolts in and do it up. It drives the rotor off.

there are 2 threaded holes in the rotor, i think they're M8.... thread 2 bolts into the holes & it will pop the rotor off the hub. i tend to load the bolts up & give the centre section a tap with a hammer.

FYI remove the caliper

There are two threaded holes in the rotor .....


Make sure the caliper is removed, tap disc top and bottom with wood and a hammer. Not hard. If this doesnt work..

Couldnt find a m8 bolt and wood and hammet didnt work will try later when I can get to a shop to buy m8 bolts

The 6 bolts that hold your FWH to the wheel hub are M8's. Just steal 2 of those....

Trying to get the big nuts undone by chisel and hammer (read thats the way to do it off here) and they wont budge. I only need to get it apart so I can go get bearings pressed on. How do we undo these.

Did you bend the tabs back on the locking washer? Its sandwiched between the two hub nuts.

I bent them so they are all upright. Do I need to remove the washer with the lil groove out of it?

Yeah once all the little tabs are bent back, you should be able to undo the first nut. Once that has been done, you remove that locking washer with the tabs, then undo the second nut. After that, the hub should just pull off the spindle with a little wiggle.

So you are having trouble undoing the first nut with the chisel and hammer?

Yep thats where im stuck at and dont have a big socket for it. Gotta be trick and I dont have a bigger hammer haha

Well persistance is the only tool you have then

They should not be on all that tight. Maybe spray them with some penetration fluid and see if that helps.

bearing looks really dry put the wheel back on and get under the car make sure there's stands under it and kick the shit out of the wheel till the hub comes off

Just saw your pic.

Wind one of the hub nuts back on a few threads, re-fit the wheel, and wobble from side to side, pulling it towards you gently. When you feel it drop, remove the wheel, then the hub nut, then the hub should slide off.

Bolt the wheel back up and use it as a slide hammer. If it doesnt work, you can try bashing the tyre (inflated rubber bit, not the rim) with a large mallet or sleledge hammer (instead of climbing under to kick the wheel).

I got it all apart one bearing stayed on the axle it looks new but I would like to change it anyway the other bearing just fell out then ended up in bits. A mechanic mate is popping around to help me put it back together

Hey WORLDO , next time bolt rotor on backwards , fit nuts about five millimetres on stud and use rotor as slide hammer , same for rear , use drum as slide hammer , Cheers Paul.

Just a side question for everyone else, should the bearings be tight on there? Mine just came off and on pretty easy?

Should be tightened to FSM specs. Ya bearing should be easily moved.

Sounds like the rear bearing and hub seal were left behind on the spindle when the hub was pulled off. There could be some scoring or pitting under the bearing that has caused it to sieze onto the spindle.

How do I get it off there? I would hate to be a mechanic.
