I'm wondering if anyone knows of a place that will cut and re-weld the centers of some steel rims for a custom offset in North QLD, preferably Townsville? Or alternatively where I can source some rims that have already been "flipped"? Does anyone know if a place like Ryano's would be able to outsource this for a decent price and freight the finished product to me? I'm led to believe I shouldn't be paying much more than $50 a rim to modify them and everyone in this town loves to overquote. I'm after some 15x7's with about -50 offset, or at most 2" backspacing in the old scale.

Just starting to. Custom rims are way too expensive to make, so decided that flipped rims will be within reach of more people. Bead stengtheners and bead locks are also in the works.

Sorry for the derailment GRPABT1 but when changing the offset of a rim is the centre supposed to be just flipped or can it be moved to suit whatever offset is wanted?

Just moved, flipped is just a common term used that I think refers to positive offset rims basically having the barrels flipped to give negative offset, but that actual practice would leave the valve stem on the inside. If the barrels are relatively uniform until the very outer edge of the rim then just moving the centre is all that's required afaik.

Thanks guys for the help.

I will be selling 4 15x8 -24 offset once I get my new rims. Mine are speedy's and cost about $60-70 each brand new, they only rub on the spring on a WT once you're running about 33" tyres.
