For the past hour or so I have been trying to cross referance the diameter of the Rear Lower Control arm bush through super pro's online catologue but I'm not having too much luck.

I'm probably doing something wrong but I can't find it.

The part number on the Calmini bush is 2661
OD = 38mm
ID = 20mm
Wall thickness = 8mm
Overall length = 33mm

BTW. Pedders are a bunch of turds !!
Make me leave it there only for them to advise me that they're about $120 for both sides, when I thought I'd just bight the bullet they get the wrong ones in. I was hoping to have it in by now.

have you asked Calmini if they are off something else? I am sure if you were to tell em you need them faster than the time it would take to post them here and said you would complain about it on the internet they might be able to help you out

Yeah I know, but I guess I'll have to pay more for being in a rush
I'm expecting the heim joint to arrive any day now. I should've just gotten the replacement kit at the same time but thought buying locally would be cheaper and quicker. And for the calmini bush's to stuff up so quickly at least I'd have a part number that I can go into a shop and say yep I want these ones.

I'm getting Jody to cross referance the dimention's with the catologue's at her work, hopefully she can order them in for me and get a nifty discount.

Jody just got back to me after calling Super pro and they have confirmed that the calmini rear control arm bush's are the same dimentions as Vitara front standard control arm bush's.

And cost about $60 for both sides.

Teh part number my girlfriend ordered in from superpro / fulcrum is SPF 0920K

Suprisingly enough they are to suit Lower Rear control arm for the Vitara, In the catalogue it lists it for the rear but on the packet they say Front lower inner bush, and here we all are thinking the calmini bush's are different to standard.

Well yes and no. They are a 98% perfect fit.

The only difference to the Calmini bush's is that the lip / flange is about 1mm thicker and the body of the bush is about 2mm shorter. Being shorter doesn't really matter but the difference in the lip will mean that there is a 2mm or so gap in the crush tube to the end of the bush, which isn't too much of a big deal. I will either grind down that 1mm or put a washer in the end of the bush. The diameter of the bush is a perfect fit into the tube of the Calmini control arm, I think the calmini bush may be about 0.5mm larger which needs for it to be pressed in. but with the superpro bush I had to tap the crush tube in slightly with a hammer for it to sit in there properly.

So for a quick fix that you can order from any semi decent car store, yes great success. But if you plan on changing them it may be cheaper to get them sent from lowrange.

mine have done nearly 100,000kms & the diff end of the lower trailing arms are quite chewed out as i discovered today

Interesting - I ordered the complete kit direct from Calamari, was listed at $59, so yeah, more than LROR.

Think it only took a week or so to get to me, which was a pleasant surprise.

I'm in the process of getting them in now... FWIW they are not all identical, there is more of a taper on some, and two sets are close enough that one sits in the rear arms quite nicely, but the actual ones just need a little pressuasion to sit in.

I'm just working them out a set at a time.

I had a look at both LROR and Calmini but can't see a specific bush kit.

FWIW the price difference between LROR and Calmini is offset by the postage cost.

They both add up to just over the US$100 mark with the postage included.

I havn't even had a chance to install them, been busy with other stuff on the weekends, I still have the "get out of shit for now" standard arms in there. I just want to get the rolla rego'd in case something unexpected happens with the Vit that I won't be able to drive it. So probably in a week or two.

They had the bushes to me way quicker than the local suppliers managed earlier this year.

I've just ordered a bush kit from them on Friday, hope you didn't get the last one they had in stock. As I haven't heard that it's been shipped yet.

I really only needed the rear control arm bushes atm but got the whole kit anyway. I've put them in today so have the rest of the kit sitting there. If you get really stuck let me know as there are heaps of bushes there.

I looked and counted, and figured there are heaps more than I need. I only have the best bits of the Calmini kit on so figure some must be spare (for the rear A-frame for instance).

If you are waiting too long I could forward some on too you to get you started.
