Soo I have had nothing but pobs with my vitara 1st was not revving up Was fuel pump a blocked fuel filter Then was out wheeling and it just stopped wood not start
Got it home worked out no spark! Dizzy cap was bad looking So I got new cap and button
Clean afm with right stuff and all intake ect New plugs
And it was going running good really good, But then just stopped
And will start but won't rev had a really bad miss like thing happing shaking whole car then it wil die 0 rpm then rev up a bit then die!
Missing when idling really just running like a box of poo
Now check eng light comes on
Best I can really explain
Pulled dizzy cap off for a look had white power like stuff in it a a mark on casing? Plugs black there about 3min running time old!
Any help at all will be good Not sure what to do now

Check the trouble codes using the check engine light - that's the first step.

You'll need access to a FSM, but jump the correct terminals on the diagnostic plug under the bonnet and the CE light will flash a code corresponding to the fault the computer is seeing. There are downloadable FSM's available on line.
I have an FSM for a pre 1995 vitara EFI but the 97 is completely different. (i.e the plug/terminals are different and the codes aren't the same)

Double check your spark plug leads.... Had similar problem with 97 efi vitara and a cracked lead was the culprit.

What sort of mark in the cap? Could it be the rotor hitting? Check the cap is sitting concentric.

Brand new leads about 2 week old Yeah it was the rotor button can see on button where it has hit? Going buy brand new dizzy if cant get used one in next few days and maybe a used afm just to have incase and Just towing it to shop and bend over

So it's the coil in the dizzy Really need a g16b dizzy! Or going to have to get new nor for 360 dollars
