hey guys i was talking to a guy about droping the bottom leaf just wondering if anyone has done it and if it gives you any more flex

X2 to what Bluesuzy said, but also, it will only add flex if you currently can't reach the bumpstops when articulating. Take the car out and flex it up on a bank or something and have a look at the distance between the bumpstop and the chassis. If it's in contact (or very close) removing a leaf won't do anything for flex.

However, removing a leaf will lower the car (often a good thing) and soften the ride, again, often a good thing.

Like everything though, it's a compromise. The reduction in spring rate results in an increase in axle wrap and "hop" under power. At its worst, this can kill unis. Obviously, if you lower the car too much it won't have enough compression travel to ride properly.

The good thing is playing with leaves is cheap and reversible, so if you don't like it, just put them back. I swapped some front springs over, pulled leaves and swapped shackles in less than an hour yesterday morning on a car I have here.

Can you get a photo with more of the spring in the picture? It's easier to get a sense of the right leaf to pull if you can see the ends, but on what I',, seeing, I'd pull the third leaf down from the top.

However, I didn't imagine you were talking about the front. Have you flexed it up?

You haven't driven it yet? I reckon you're putting the cart before the horse. Wait until you've driven it and worked out what it's doing before you dig into the suspension. Right now it would just be a guess.

Do you want the car to sit lower than it is now? pulling a leaf is guaranteed to lower it.

If you insist on pulling one. Pull the 3rd down. Pissorf those clamp bolts, Get spring washers on thes Ubolts, Wirebrush everything and spray it all matte/saturn black.

paint your springs red for more flex, yellow is for load carrying & is a safe colour where red on the other hand is what they paint race cars & they're fast.

what do i do with the center one its snaped off the rest dont have nuts on them

When you pull apart the pack, get a new bolt and nut..

Red does go faster.
