I have a suzuki siera with a 1.6 carby vitara motor in it. I have the standard 1.3 radiator in it with a thermo fan, was wondering if i will have problems over heating it on the beach on a 40 degree day.
It's hard to say whether or not you will have issues because evey vehicle is different, bigger tyres for example may affect engine temp. Lot's of of vehicles will have a hard time in 40deg heat and soft sand. Your best bet is to make sure all of your cooling system is up to scratch. So that may involve getting your current radiator professionally flushed out and new hoses/thermostat if needed.
Have you mounted the thermo fan on the front of the radiator or have you removed the original engine driven fan and mounted it on the rear?
