I'm installing a VT commo in tank fuel pump along with all the fittings and fixings in my Sierra. This runs an integrated fuel sender. Now I stupidly assumed all senders are resistive as in the fuel level s determined by the resistance read from the sender by the fuel guage. This VT sender is a 3 pin and all 3 appear to be open circuits with no resistance shown through the fuel floats full range. Now I'm assuming one pin is 12V, one is ground and one gives a variable voltage dependent on the float level. Does anyone know if there is any way for me to change this to a resistive type to work with the sierra guage?
