Hey guys, just having a few installation woes.
I removed the rear diff of my wt sierra, sent it away to be fitted up with my Chinasoong RD88 locker.
Got it back no worries but I'm having troubles getting the rear passenger side axle back in.
The drivers side goes no worries.
It kinda looks like it's banging on the long cross shaft?

I haven't got the compressor hooked up yet. Do I need to hook that up first and engage or disengage the locker or something before it'll go back in?

Also, for potential buyers, I ordered from - http://www.china4x4extreme.com/
The diff arrived properly, but the compressor box was missing a few things. e.g. instructions, hoses, the locker on off switches. I've contacted them about this about 12 hours ago, and am waiting to hear back. Will let you know how I go. Bit unimpressive.
I went with them over chinasoong because they offer paypal, chinasoong don't. So at the end of the day, if I'm not happy with how they handle this, I'll lodge a claim with paypal and get my money back. :)

So this blue air hose?

it doesnt fit in the standard ARB ckma12 solenoid fittings its too big. and the hose places (Hydraulink, Pirtek) have said there isnt a fitting that matches the thread required for the fitting with the chinasoong hose.

how did you guys solve the issue of the hose not fitting the ARB fittings? did you just use the supplied compressor that comes with the chinasoong?

cheers

My first lockers had the larger hose. The next ones came with a smaller diameter hose. Came no where near fitting into the original compressor fitting. The solution is that the smaller diameter hose fits perfectly into the larger hose. So I just super glued the smaller one into the larger hose that fits into the compressor. Wallah lockers work no worries.

For other alternative suppliers of these lockers, search for "RD88" on http://www.alibaba.com. They're all made in the same factory but sold by dozens of resellers of which Chinasoong is just one. Some sellers will sell lockers singly, some have minimum buy amounts. Some only accept Bank Transfer, some do Credit Cards, some do Paypal. Check 'em all out for the deal that suits you.

I have been running one of these Chinese air lockers in the rear Dana 60 of my Rock Buggy for a season of abuse and not had a single problem. I made a youtube video when I first got the locker showing all the parts and whatnot.

Check it out:

Mine's going strong still. I had issues with an air leak about 6 months ago, replaced o-rings and it's all good again.
Just got back from camping up at Double Island where I gave it a good workout. No worries at all.

I have been ignoring these Chinasoongs for ages,
as I have a 12 bolt rear in my Vitara, and could never find a listing.
(I could be missing something)
When I broke my rear diff I chucked in another in a hurry.
Upon fitting a temporary spool yesterday I noticed I'd fitted a 10 bolt.
(Didn't know they were interchangeable)
So I now have the option of Chinasoong as they do list RD204 10 bolt 26 splines.
Saving and thinking time for a while.
Spool will grow old fast :)

Thanks, mine is now a 10 bolt after destroying the 12, I am considering wether to try to find another 12.
It don't look any different, apart from having less bolts, but I could be wrong.
I hoping never to need another ring and pinion, but availability of them is to be considered.
Thanks, I will meditate on it :)

10 bolts are weaker & don't have the pinion bolt to stop it walking away from the crown wheel.
