My sierra wipers don't work. I brought a replacement motor from suziauto today and plugged it in and the motor doesn't work. I dare say there must be a fault in the wiring somewhere? Is there a way to test this?

My 2nd question can I rig up a hotwired switch! Just a switch that has 12v to it then that goes to the motor and all I do is push once bam wipers work lol????

You should be able to, after all, afaik the wiper motor just spins around and around and that is what moves the linkages back and forth. You will want to work out how they do the different speeds though, whether it's just from the switch i.e. there is control gear in the wiring rather than different windings in the motor. I'd imaging like a ceiling fan, the control for speed should all be done at the switch/wiring harness and the motor is just a plain old dc motor.

I've been driving with rainex windscreen since I got the zook back on the road lol. If I get the top speed ill be happy. Can someone point me in direction of what colour wires are what?

Ok so before wiring up a switch I thought I'd try a replacement combination switch (wiper and indicator stalk assembly). I hooked this up and still no luck. Does the wiper motor earth through its body and into one of the mounting screws? I only plugged in the wiper motor, I haven't mounted it yet. What's my next test I can do?

The wiper motor body needs to be connected to ground for it to work. Once you have the body grounded you can simply test the motor itself be applying 12V to either the blue or blue/red wires.
