A good way (well ., a bodgy way) to clean jets is to run some of that carby cleaner/injector cleaner in the fuel tank (more than they recommend) then unscrew the centre bolt/aircleaner bolt so you don't spear your hand.... warm up the engine with the aircleaner off.... give the motor a big rev and when it starts roaring, put your hand over the carb throat and seal it off with your hand and the throttle still wide open....
This means that the carby is flowing heaps of air one second.... then when you block the carb sudden, it tries to suck the guts out of the carby... the only place it can get any thing to fill the vacuum created by your hand and the inertia of the high reving engine, is thru the jets.... any crud in the jets will have little choice than to get sucked off.... I mean out of the jet

. Keeping the throttle wide open is necessary otherwise it will just be sucking against the closed flutterbys
So rev it, block it... as it is down to about idle speed, remove hand and so on and see if it sounds clearer, repeat if necessary. If you are a sissy-poof-skirt wearer... wear a (thick) rubber glove

and try not to burn yourself
Check for dirty fuel to begin with, look for vaccy leaks and hoses off/frayed, make sure your spark plug leads aren't arking on each other or the motor, clean the leads of grime, make sure the spark plug nipples are tight on the plug, and the lead is tight on the plug nipple
