I'm doing a engine swap for a mate. Got the f8a out and the f10 in, no problems there. got it cranking, fuel and all that jazz.
The thing I'm missing is spark. The f10 is our of a carrier and I can't get the coil to send power to the dizzy. Any help would be great guys

Did you keep the Carry dizzy housing and dizzy intact when you did the swap?

There's no reason why the engine shouldn't fire with the Carry Dizzy/ LJ Coil combo unless you've upset the timing. I presume you haven't disconnected the coil low tension wires and reversed them, and that you have retained the ballast resistor. Recheck the dizzy timing. If you have the rotor going to No1 plug at TDC and it won't fire, it could be out of phase 180deg.

Which tip did you dump the F8A?

Haven't touched the dizzy or wires on it. Think he sold the f8a. The coil isn't putting any power out of it when I put a test light on it. I have a earth running from the block to the coil then 2 wires running out of the loom to the coil. Does this sound right?

Nope!
The coil should have +12V to the coil (+) terminal. This will come either directly or through a ballast resistor from the key barrel with the ignition in the "ign" and "start" positions. The ballast resistor may be bypassed in the "start" position. Therefore you could have a maximum of 2 wires going to the coil (+). Test these wires with your node light in respect to the negative battery terminal to make sure you have power on them. The coil (-) terminal goes to the points distributor which is linked to the engine block and should be connected to the negative battery terminal
