I'll have a look again, but I could not see anything like that on my original.
My LJ diffs had pinion bolts.
Maybe being a 93 it may be a mongrel diff.
Will think upon that, too thanks.
EDIT
No pinion bolt on my broken 12bolt, it looks identical to the 10 bolt in there now.
Maybe its later models, or 2.0's that got the strengthen up?

We have a Chinasoong in our club, that I wasn't aware of.
He is happy so far.
Weekend extreme use Sierra.

I have ordered one from China Extreme (Tenda).
Had to pay extra 3.9% to pay with Paypal.
Will keep posting in here the goods and bads.
Now back to living on baked beans on toast for a few months :)

I ordered mine from there.
I can't say its a good place until locker actually arrives here.
But so far they have been helpful and business like.

First tracking notification came from Malaysia.
Maybe a drop shipping of a locker already in Malaysia, or just no tracking up to there.
I'll be impressed if it comes on its estimated day.

Hi Christover,

So you could find the instruction from ARB is good.

Yours faithfully,

I was impressed with the service, locker is on my kitchen table already.
Seems to be all there in good condition, just one crack in a plastic cover on an electrical terminal.
Now the jigsaw begins :)

the die cut for the air compressor box (thing that cuts the flat sheet) is identical to the one that made my arb box, looks the goods chris. the only thing that looks different to the arb kit is the tyre inflater but thats not included with the locker from arb.

you'll have to bump the hearing aid up a few notches so you can enjoy the pisssst pisssst noises. 8)

I'm no engineer, but looks ok to me. Time will tell, of course.
It will be very well tested, being a daily driver, tourer, tow rig and off roader.
Now to get ready for last trip on a spool.
(I'm leaving evidential tyre marks on the driveway :) )
I will tell people the psst is a blow off valve Armsup

Not necessarily. Monley only posted this week about buying a kit for a three-digit price figure, starting with an 8. Sure, there are circumstances there (read: he bitched and moaned about the quality of their product or some such).

It'll be interesting to see how Joe's CAP locker stacks up in the long run, which seems like it will be priced very similarly to the fake ARBs, once compressor costs etc are taken into consideration.

I was waiting for a CAP, but he is not making Vitara ones yet, so could be a way off. Will look into CAPs once they exist.

I am of the same opinion, for my GV. Apart from the initial 'testing' phase of the CAP locker, beginning sometime after Feb 2015, it seems Joe is more interested in selling the IP than become a manufacturer in which case it'd be a fair bit of time after that before they saw the light of day in the general market.

Is the compressor good enough for tyres? My 12v pump is abysmally slow.

I think klutched said his was a bit poo for airing up, and he ended up purchasing a genuine ARB one. Although I have absolutely nothing to base that on apart from fuzzy Friday night memories of half conversations from months ago.

Sorry if this fix is old news.

Completed my RD208 China locker install today on the SV. All went sweet except for the drivers inner CV. She didn't want to go all the way home and the circlip couldn't lock into the side gear. Found the spline was a touch too long and hitting the cross pin. I read after the fact that some guys were machining the drivers side 'side gear'. I didnt want to pull the whole front diff out again. So took a few measurements and removed around 3mm of material off the end of the spline. Tested it and now she locks in. Also there is enough room so that CV doesn't chop out the RH CV diff seal.

After removing the excess material.

Mine has been solid and done a lot of off roading. Mostly sand driving, but been awesome when traversing undulating tracks up dunes etc. Much nicer not having to thrash it up dunes to get over the tricky bits. No leaks, locks sweet every time and the compressor has worked flawlessly both for the locker and for airing up after. I have a front only. Very happy!

Unbelievably 5.5 years later these are actually cheaper today.

Just got quoted $389 USD + shipping (locker only).

Yeah, pity about the exchange.
