Bought another jeep yesterday, hopefully will turn up in a couple of weeks. :peaceout:
2017 grand Cherokee diesel with some shiny flash bits, should be able to do 2200km between servos. Can't wait to get touring in it.

My good mate has a '16 Blackhawk WK2 with the T/D V6 and the 8 speed.

So good dropping down to 3-4l/100 on the highway. Tows like an absolute champ too, you'll love it.

Yeah it is the diesel, apparently jeep are bringing out the 3.0v6 diesel and 8 speed box in the new JL wrangler. If they do I will be buying one.

Really? That could be interesting considering how torquey they are in the Cherokee, I imagine the wrangler is a lot lighter

Yes but it isn't a proper 4wd.

My wrangler with both tanks full plus fridge weighs 1800kg (350kg more then my jimny) and the GC with full tank is 2400kg.

1800kg and 570nm @ 2000rpm would be a lot of fun

Yikes your Jimny was 1450kgs. The JK is obviously much better for your needs.

You could still see a lot in 6 weeks. Have anything in mind? East or West?

This will be my 3rd 12000+ km trip in 6 months. Want to have a look around vic and west of the blue mountains
in nsw.
We are looking for a few 1000acres to buy now that all the ground water is fucked where we are now.

Just drove from port Augusta to Canberra 1300km and the range guesser thing still reckons there is 800km of fuel in the tank.
It's a bloody awesome traveling car.

The GC is getting its 60k service next week and also a set of tyres. 60k from the stock goodyear A/Ts is pretty good considering what the car gets used for.
Had zero issues with the car and think we will keep it long term.

The only broken bits are from a roo I hit at 120kph near wave hill, damage isn’t to bad so we haven’t bothered getting it fixed.
Moving to central QLD in a couple of months so depending on what the animals are like there we may fit a bull bar but that will be only if needed.
Something else that really impresses me is the headlights, the factory HID headlights are brilliant and I wish I could slap them in my wrangler.
