And how easy is PayPal.... The exchange rate matched the listed rate at time of order and only charged an extra $16 in transfer fees on a $1100 order.

MrRocky wrote: Got my rear arb for $880 at xmas from arb with a free compressor Well that’s one thing you guys in the West can’t say you get shafted on. Your parts a much cheaper over there. I bought a heap of gear for my JK Wrangler from Perth considerably cheaper then anything here on the eastern states. And for the record; The rip off shop, sorry I mean, ARB Caloundra quoted me this: * RD208 locker only $999.00 * Compressor for locker only $180.00 * Locker install $4,550.00

Are there several different types china-clone lockers? There`s a "new" brand pushing these on facebook, called TRE Air Locker.. Under Marxxon brand, they claim..
Same as the Chinasoong, with a new logo? They claim 5y warranty, where they hold you with parts if something breaks..

Installed chinasoong/china4x4extreme lockers front/rear 6 weeks ago, together with 4x longfield HD axles.. 26 splines front, ordered the rd206 with 26spline gears installed from chinaextreme.com.. Std RD 208 rear.
So far very pleased with them, works very well! Longterm use and some abuse will tell the rest later on.

Hey guys, appreciate the heads-up on these smack clones! I noticed that all the Chinese reseller parts had the initials HF on 'em. I finally sourced the manufacturer in China, and they sell them direct for less than the resellers! HaiFeng Differential http://off-road.net.cn/En/About.AspI ordered these yesterday for the Samurai, shipped UPS today! http://off-road.net.cn/En/ModelView.Asp ... 153&ID=202http://off-road.net.cn/En/ProductView.A ... =52&ID=386Contact Shirley at zhang@off-road.net.cn (tell her Aids sent ya ) Paid USD550 paypal to my door! I'll probably end up using an ARB- compressor, bolts/washers, & o-rings just to be safe.

So $550US shipped, thats $773 for one locker and a compressor you think you'll need to replace for an ARB one - so the same pricing as Mattman quoted from TRE?

The chinasoong/china4x4extreme are definitely made by HaiFeng, looks like TRE are different

I was last quoted (July 18) $403 USD delivered for a HF RD208 or RD206 without compressor. My HF Compressor has had a hard life and blew a fusable link when i drowned it (and the car) but other then making some terrible noises from the chewed out bearings due to water ingestion, it still goes hard. If i had to do it again, i'd go HF lockers (both in the same order) with a custom on board air comp setup.

Where did you get the quote for us$403 delivered markmo?
I think josh is talking about his experience with the JML/joeblow/uneek4x4/CAP locker.

Indeed, Different kettle of fish but still makes me cautious about outlaying $200~ish less than ARB for a hunk of Chinesium.
