I found this stuff called a docking block at Clark rubber, and thought hmm for only $20 I'll give it a crack. Overall it will be about 20-25mm longer but there are larger ones. I may just put a spacer at the base if required.

Start by removing the bumpstop from the car.

Measure the length and cut to size on a drop saw and with a wood cutting blade blade.

Flip it over, mark out the holes and drill.

Slide your old bumpstop inside it and line up the holes.

You will need longer bolts, line it up and install. You will have to remove the top screw of the shock to move it out of the way so you can do up one of the bolts.

All done. Almost standard looking.

I was going to use just the block itself. It is rather stiff but it would still probably squash down under load, and it was just by freak chance that the original bumpstop is a snug fit in height and width in there, so yeah why not. There was a solid piece of rubber that could some how be used, but it was much shorter and this is so much easier.

If longer bumpstops are needed, It's just a matter of putting some spacers or another thick peice of rubber under the base and again longer bolts. ;)

That stuff protects the rear of trucks backing into loading docks.
It is bound to be up to the bump stop task
