OK seeing I am a nice guy I took some time out of my hektik schedule to have a look :)

the kit, gun, 4, 5 and 6mm noses and some inserts in a metal box $231.98 +gst

the gun alone $89.62
3, 4, 5 and 6mm noses are all $29.30 +gst each
there is an 8mm nose but its been discontinued and I just bought our last one  I think 8mm is a bit above what you would use a nutsert for anways
all inserts are between 15 abd 20 cents each + GST
add postage onto that, 3kg express post bag would cover it easilly

Where is that through?

do you just want a set of 1/4 inch hex key heads or the socket type?

anyway here is link for most of our tools, however we do have over 10000 part numbers so the tools are all through the whole catalogue in their sprecific sections, panel beating, mechanical etc. this link is just the straight out tool section

dont try and use stainless bolts in those nutserts cause you be cursing and ready to break stuff we use them in or caravans with stainless bolts even with lube on them they bind up and are a bitch to get out cause the nutsert decides to spin on you. other than that they are not to bad

Excuse my ignorance, but I have never seen a nutsert, the tool or how they work, but after reading the thread it sounds like i have to have one....mmmmmm tooooollllllls but more so to get rid of all the plastic pop screws in my car. Anyway, can anyone post up some pics of the tool, mandrels, noses etc and maybe even in opperation as well.
The pics at the start of the thread dont explain it clear enough as I dont really know what I'm looking at. Cheers.

nutserts are basically pop rivets without a pull stub on it rather the threaded mandrel is and when you squeeze it it forms a bulge at the back stoping it pulling through.

pretty handy but dont buy the stainless nutserts or use stainless bolts in them like everyone else said

For those that haven't seen one before I took some pics of mine.

Nutsert tool, it works very similar to a pop rivet tool
Image

M6 and M4 mandrels
Image

M6 mandrel
Image

This is how it works. Screw the inner part of the mandrel into the tool
Image
Image

Now slide the collar over the inner part and screw it into the tool's housing
Image
Image
Image

Take your nutsert and screw it onto the inner part
Image
Image

Now push the nutsert into the appropriate sized hole and squeeze the handles together

Yeah different name, same thing.

I have pulled a few nuserts without the tool. It's a lot quicker/easier WITH the tool!!!
