needs more trianglulation... the wings are going to need a heap more bracing, how does it attach to the chassis? |

i have seen people come in to work and there bars are ratchet srapped to radiator support panel, and they wonder why it rattles on rough roads |

airbags? How does it affect wether the car had airbags? i have been to arb and tjm looking around for some bars and have asked about the airbags both guys said they arent in the front bumper.. Not to sure now... although if they are mine must be faulty, As the front of the little jimny found quite a large hole.... ????? |

I'm pretty sure a car with airbags, that has a bar on the front must be approved so they will still deployed in case of a crash. Someone please correct me if i am wrong. |

Need ALOT more bracing. Do you have impact simulation or stress analysis software, or access to it? That will let you know what you need to do |

Ok. Do you have a reasonable understanding of physics? I ask this because you will need to understand how applying a force on a particular part of the structure will distribute load. Given that its a bullbar, the most likely impact it will see is frontal. So you need to add bracing that will revent the "c" shaped structure from deforming. |

Grave digging here But how did you go with this bar? Have you made it yet? |

I have stress analysis software ... but modeling the bar just sounded like too much hard work. Sheer bulk goes some what towards offsetting smart design

Someone please correct me if i am wrong. you are correct or it renderd the vehicle un-roadworthy, unsafe and will not meet adr. but its a chance we can all take for a sick looking tough arse bar that does the jobs it suppose too |
