I'm fixing up a sandblast cabinet and need to put a new light in it. I have a 600mm flouro batten fitting but i'm sure the tube will get smashed if it's not covered. I was going to track down an external 600mm fitting with a sealed cover, but just putting it out there in case someone has a better idea!

If it had a plastic cover over it it should be ok. Just keep the pointy end of the gun towards the work and not the light

As above. A thin sacrificial polycarb cover over the light should be fine. Just replace when it gets too dull.

Make a cover for the light out of the cheapest, easiest to replace material you can get.
When you fit a new piece put tape over half of it and when you can't see any more take the tape off and you've doubled the life of the 'glass'.

But I used double sided tape and Stck a plastic flexible Perspex over it. Then I replace the Perspex when it's rooted

Have the same over my glass screen
