In like flynn, I want to do my powersteering conversion around Christmas time and would be happy to pay that. I've been wanting on that's bolt on like the one below rather than having to drill and weld new crush tubes through the chassis.
If you had a batch done you shouldn't have any problem selling them all off. |

Is it going to sit forward any further than the stock steering box? The bolt pattern of the Vit box makes it impossible to move it too far forward but you could probably squeeze a little out of it. That would help the people with their front diff pushed forward. |

My engineer (nsw) said it would be fine. I said it will be strong. He was also telling me about other people drilling chassis and new holes/crushtubes though etc. Also my diff is moved 25mm forward and the bar bind as such. So it will be as far front as possible. If not too much work! |

My diff is 20mm forward as well. Having the box positioned as low as possible should help with being able to use the standard vitara pitman arm shouldn't it? |

I know this site may not like outers... But...Its easier just to divert it to here -----> http://www.outerlimits4x4.com/phpBB2/ftopic157003.php This is my thread. There are alot of links on what to do. So its a big 1 on vitara power steering conversions. |

I believe bolting them straight to the chassis is no good as it doesnt turn evenly? I will need to do something on mine as Jimny ones arent cheap cause nobody knows what they fit anymore |

he said with the force applied the wedge really relies on the thread strength and un-even forces. he would much prefer re-drilled holes and sleves, plus he likes the fact that hex head bolts can be torqued up better. he will also allow the toyota boxes i use for larger tyres. but the main point is the word 'wedge' will not do you any favours. |

UMMM....we really must start calling them 'anti-crush tubes'. |
