just a pic of my work. didnt want the gauges on the dash and wouldnt fit anywhere eles. probably could have had the seam where the gauges are in a bit better with some putty but didnt think of it at the time. cant see it due to camera flash.
and the standar temp gauge no longer works not sure why

My nephew has got one in his, courtesy of the previous owner. It looks like crap, and is out by a couple of thousand rpm  Keeps telling me he is going to take it out, but has'nt happened yet.

If you had 4 that were a little smaller you could fit them in there quite neatly.

Here I was thinking the best thing about Zooks is that they are so cheap to repair you don't need gauges!

hey thats pretty neat!!!

heaps better than having them hanging off ya dash, pillar & steering column like ghay christmas decorations! 8O

did you replace the whole black face or was it a blank spot for the factory tacho? if the original temp guage is a no go, you could remove it & get a volt guage in there with a bit mucking around.....

Post subject:  Re: in dash gauges

think i work out it wouldnt fit a ntoher gauge in there. plus i got a battery monitor anyway so meh.

i just cut where the original tacho was off and put some polycarbonated sheet in there. the real guess was drilling the holes for the guages to show through and look good and square. i am very happy how it turned out but if i was to do it again i would have used a putty or somthing to fill the glueline where the 2 peices join

i got this idea of taking a few of the fans out ( circle shape ) and puttin some in there im sure i could get them to fit well. anyways you wind the windows down in a zook

yer the zook 'air con' is a waste heater is good though. while doing this theres a duct that goes to the far right for the vent i just riped it out and threw it away. i only keep my 'air con' pointing at my feet or up on the windscreen (which does shit all when its foggy)

this is how i did mine 2 5/8" gauges fit perfectly in air vent holes. Boost gauge no longer strapped to top of dash. This pic is 3 years old. sorry for the quality. All Speco pro series gauges inc tacho where original gauges go.

i would spend any time mounting anything from supercheap guages like to die over bumps when they are cheap.

here is what i did on the sierra because my standard tacho decided to die. i wanted to put it in where the old tacho used to go but the coily instrument cluster backing has a curcuit board on it that you can't interupt so any guage was really to deep to fit in there. SO i made this sierra logo and chucked it on the dash
