Better to start from scratch. Those bars are very weak and trying to add enough strength to bear winching loads will result in a huge, heavy mess. They're really just a nudge bar. From memory, those bars were built for suzuki by Hayman Reece and sold as the approved dealer fit bull bar. Mate had one on his vitara. |

hand winch and recovery points their stronger, you have better control, you can winch from front or backwards. even sidways if you need, they fit in a milk crate in the boot and dont add 30-40 kg to the verry nose of your car. also, you can use a hand winch to winch up a hill then rollstart the car with a flat battery. |

have a look at this.. http://www.offroad-armory.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&path=154_20_72&product_id=220 This is the fitting guide to it http://www.offroad-armory.com/store/pdf/Jimny-Front-Winch-Mounting-Plate.pdf Says not suitable for Jimny's with A/C but i have seen a lot of jimny's getting around with it and they all couldn't have no A/C so i think you could make it suit. |

Thanks again cam This almost went behind my standard bumper. Ignore the two end plates, now used for the other things. It's made out of 8x10mm plate and is bolted through the bottom chassis tube and the body mounting towers at the top. Might give some ideas if you go that way... |
