I am going to be installing mine in the next few days after it's been collecting dust for a while.

Any one else got any tips for installing them? any quirky problems I need to watch out for? the template seems rather dodgy...

yeah, there were no instructions and the template had half the lines missing or so faint you wouldn't know they were there. one of the 3 bolt holes were slightly out to.

I think that template I gave you I fixed it up and wrote some destructions on it. that write up on NBS is brilliant.

makes sure you pull the mirror in to...

I used the cheapest hole saw from bunnings, it will never cut again but worked the once.

Yeah, you marked it 11mm from where it was shown. made a few photocopies today, so will cut one out and put it over the snorkel to see.

I've got a grand vitara badge right where the snorkel goes, so gotta de-badge it and move it back out of the way.

All went well with the snorkel today - viewtopic.php?f=4&t=23711&p=613795#p613795

I can take a pic of the template and upload it, but i wouldn't use it to print out and use. I can snail mail you a copy if you like.

I cut an 80mm hole for the snorkel and drilled 15mm holes for the mounting bolts. Used big washers on the mounting bolts. When drilled out as per plan it was not even close to right.
