Maybe your shocks are past their best; you will get a lot more torque at the wheels in first.

wouldn't be surprised if he's still running the calmini rear shocks

sweenz what sort of take off's are we talking about.... driving test smooth or traffic light launches?

personally you're pushing the clutch which ever way you look at it with stock gearing & 33's.

Theres no way it had anything to do with the shocks. You could see the tachometer doing funny things when idling and taking off. Turned out to be a split in the intake manifold rubber hose. There was a vacuum leak causing air to get in that wasn't being read by the air flow meter. So it ran lean for a little while and ran like shit anytime the engine was under load (mostly during a take off). It took me ages to find break in the hose because it happened in a hard to get to spot and wasn't immediately obvious till I took the whole thing apart. Ive taped it up for now and it runs good again. Still wish I had more power but at least I know that the engine is running properly again. Ive also downgraded the size of my tires to 31's. Thanks for the help peeps.

Nice to hear you got it sorted. Didn't buy a 2.0L in the meantime? ;)

I run 32s on my g16 with 4.19 reduction. I do about 120kmh at 3500rpm. Good amount of accelleration. But when all loaded up for camping, it sits 95-100kmh and requires regular changes to 4th on inclines

I always want to charge my engine every week, but i know i can up the reduction and will get back more torque till 100kmh is at about 3500rpm
