I have a question.. I have Air Operated auto locking hubs... If the worse should happen and the transfer wont disengage... What would happen if I disconnected the airline on the pump on the front of the vehicle ?
How would I unlock the system in order to avoid getting diff wind up ?

you have drive flanges, no auto free wheeling hubs on a GV the FWH action is in the diff centre

OK... So disconnecting the pump would disengage drive to the front wheels ? Just getting the basics of worse case scenario because I am heading off road next weekend and IF something goes wrong.. I would like to be able to make it back...

When you shift into 4h or 4l, the air pump engages the front diff giving drive to the front wheels. The front wheels are permanently connected to the driveshafts and into the diff (due to not having free wheeling hubs).
If you were to just unplug the air pump while in 4h or 4l, there will be no drive to the wheels, however the front prop shaft and transfer will still be spinning, and i don't imagine that'll be a good thing with no load. (could be wrong?)
If you have trouble getting back into 2wd try what shep suggested and you'll be fine
