Sorry if this has been asked or if it sounds stupid, but will a Vitara front diff center and carrier go into the rear? Or can I use the front center in the rear carrier?

No. Totally different.

I think it's possible to swap some auto lockers and mini spools, but the centres are different and can't be swapped.
