Hi guys
I recently bought a Sierra with no RWC or REGO and it has a body lift. I'm just wondering if it is worth keeping the body lift and paying for the mod plate or am I better off trying to remove the body lift?
I have been doing some research and it seems like a mixed basket when it comes to whether a BL is worth having.
The car has a 2'' susp lift and 2'' BL and it does feel quite tall, so that's another reason I was thinking of dropping the BL. Or should I do something else? e.g.. remove a leaf from the packs?
I would like to get the zook on the road these holidays (yes I am still at school haha) so any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers

I'm running 30x9.5 at the moment, but will go 31's in the future.

For 31's I'd take the bodylift out and just space the bumstops or virtual lift the guards if you can weld.

OK well I can weld but don't have the equipment...
What would be the easiest way to remove the BL, as I don't have large jacks?

I used a bottle jack and several large blocks of hardwood, Best thing I had on hand.
Did the previous owner give you the stock bits that get replaced when fitting a BL? Nuts, washers, steering biscuit etc

IMO if the bodylift has been done properly, then pay for a modplate. IMO that is easier than acquiring a set of original body fixing bolts, fitting them and modifying your bullbar (judging by your avatar pic) to suit.
If you already have all the hardware to revert the car to standard then it isn't a difficult job however, and can be done in a few hours with basic tools and a couple of scissor type car jacks.

No original hardware... The bullbar is a TSOR one that works with both BL and non BL so thats not a problem. How hard is it to find the original parts?
