Hey guys, First time posting..
I have a 91 Sierra with a G16B engine conversion. Its been sitting around for a while, and I tried to start it 2 days ago and it was turning over, but not starting. (but I drove it over 600km before sitting it there, it has run a few months back and started fine). I have looked at the fuel pump its definitely pumping with a manual +12v put on it, and is pumping fine through the filter and all the way to the engine, but it will not turn on and pump when you use the ignition to try to start, it doesn't get provided power. Also, checked the coil and it is not receiving power to provide for the spark. So something is stopping both the fuel and spark from happening, all it will do is continue trying to turn over. I am going to buy a Gregory's Manual for the car tomorrow to start to track engine wiring, as something may have come loose or something, but I'm wondering if you guys have any ideas?
As far as I can see I've broken it down to either a wiring fault or a ECU fault. Does this sound like a good conclusion?
Please advice of anything else I need to try, this is the first car I've really worked on, so go easy!
