I'm currently waiting for some parts to come in with in the next week.

Out of curiosity will it cause any sort of corrosion or other issues if I were
to drain the two aforementioned fluids now while I wait for the parts to come in?

Nope with oil, i did the extreme, drained oil coolant in oil pan exposed valves, exposed timing chain and gears, no corrosion at all.

If you drained the coolant and left none in thats a diff story, can get slight surface rust on the waterpump propella and if the thermostat isnt stainless steel that could rust and usually will need to flush. This is after only 2 days, you get a white chalky substance coating all the pipes inside so a flush is needed.

Alright sounds good I'll hold off on the coolant for a couple of days then. Thank you very much!

When coolant dries it leaves a white chalky substance. Ever had a radiator hose explode under the hood? The entire engine gets covered in for mentioned white chalky substance. Its just an ingredient in the coolant that goes chalky when it dries.

Its probably ideal to leave the coolant in there until you actually need to drain it, but you aren't going to hurt anything by draining it.
