I have a 1999 Jimny JLX manual in planet gold metallic and am wondering how much it's worth.
Being the JLX it has power steering, air con, power windows, roof rails and carpet.
It has: - Fresh reco engine and gearbox just installed - New radiator etc.. - Exedy heavy duty clutch with machined flywheel - Tough Dog 60mm lift with shock repositioners - Custom braided brake lines - Brand new poly bushes in radius arms and panhard rods - Brand new 215/75/15 BFG KM2 Mud Terrains - Custom 1.75" exhaust with 2 straight through resonators and hi-flow cat - Roof bars - Hayman Reece towbar And maybe a few more things that I've forgotten!
Located in Victoria
Thanks, Ray

Maybe 5k...
9k is a lot for a mildly modified 15 year old Jimny. You can buy a lot more Suzuki for less...

Agree Whilst the reco motor and gearbox were expensive, you wont recoup the cost, as its necessary maintenance. Any warranty on it? Will it transfer to new owner?
Rest of mods/money thrown at it dont help much.
Few on gumtree Asking 3.5k, 4k, 2 at 5k, hard to see its better than the one with 107 thou km at a dealer asking $7.5k
You can ask 7-9k, but you may have it for ages. a recent rebuild story is often a load of crap, and lots of people are skeptical of it. Rebuilds rarely last like factory engine build, one with genuine low kms would be a safer bet than one rebuilt by previous owner.
Good luck

it sounds awful ray but i'd say $5k as well, that's what i paid for mine & the more i spend on it the less it's probably worth. i've put well over $2k into mine with the tyres & suspension & i'd still probably be lucky to get my $5k back.

Thanks guys, very helpful!
Yeah I was thinking $7K - $9K might be a bit steep. Strange though as there are stock 98 & 99 Jimnys I've seen for sale for $7K - $8K..
Thanks, Ray
