Hey guys need some help... There's just to much rust to fix in 1984 1.3 NT. will all leaf sprung sierra body's fit the chassis? What about the wiring loom on the engine will all plugs fit

All SWB body's should fit. Wiring may be a little different but not by much. Think the idle up wiring to the carby is a little different but no biggie to sort out. As far as I'm aware all else should be roughly the same.

Have you got a good body lined up?

I'm on the hunt for a rust free body... I'm in Victoria and I'm not having much luck atm know anyone I could ring?

Wiring is different but if you're only getting a body odd are it won't come with a loom

Pre 11/1984 1l Sierra bodies have different mounts but you'd be very lucky to find a rust free one, due to the age.

Oh yeah.. 1.3's SWB are the same is what I meant..

You'll likely be searching high and low to find a rust free body for sale. You might be able to find donor parts and have them welded in (by a mate with a tig and some good welding skills). Depending on how rusty your body is.

Alternatively it may be a case of buy a car which doesn't have rust.

Or, cut out and Bog up the rusty bits?

The whole body has rust from the roof to the floor panles from the front clip to the rear door hahah
