The front are near new. The back are fucked, so I put one brand new one on one side, and one with 50% on the other, different brands. 9mm difference in tread thickness. I'm in low 4 a lot, but only use the lockers for a few seconds a couple of times a day. Do you think I'll harm anything ?.
tar

Mixing brands is not recommended. I'd put the shit ones on the back so you can steer.
Is the highway tar
bye

Not ideal running different brands front and rear, your lucky ive seen alot more that 9mm difference in same size different brands but still if you have expensive gears in your transfer then there would be a risk they could blow on high traction surface in 4l

Why would you be in 4 anything on a high traction surface?

Different brands / tread patterns: front to back = not a problem (a lot of motor sports do this for steering vs drive, 4wd is no different) side to side = problem and best to avoid this long term, does effect handling, road holding etc etc
Tread depth difference: front to back = obviously good tyres to the front side to side = given the brands/pattern comment above, best to avoid but not a show stopper, diffs will correct for this as rolling diameter of tyre is NEVER the same, be that a little be that a lot and once you hit a corner or even a slight curve in the road all that flys out the window regardless. With lockers engaged it will want to drive straight regardless, different rolling diameter will make that straight a very large curve.
Very few space saver tyres are the same diameter as main tyres, close but not identical.

Thanks, they're 235's, and when they're worn, I'll go back to 215. I've got 8, the other 4 are matching, and I use the best old ones on the trailer.
