Hi all

I'm in need of a new exhaust system as my manifold is cracked, and the rest of the exhaust system is shagged. I've ordered (another, hopefully not leaking) a set of extractors I plan to fit, and have a new TIG welder I need to practice with.

So my question is; does anyone have any recommendations on where to source pipe/cats/mufflers from so that I can build my own? I'm in SE Melbourne.

Thanks for reading.

Straight pipe all the way!!
Seeing that you will be practicing, just head down to local wreckers and zap some off with a grinder.

Alternatively... https://www.exhaustshop.com.au/

I've bought 3 exhausts worth of parts from performanceexhaust.com.au
Quick to post if you need, never had an issue. Prices were pretty good too.
(mild steel)

I use Performance Exhausts in Rooks Rd Vermont but they're difficult to find on line. (they used to be in Ringwood) They carry lots of stock and they're car guys, not stoners.

I've also grabbed stuff from VPW. A word of warning though, not everything VPW stocks is of outstanding quality and their hockey sticks are painted in paint that's is practically impossible to remove for welding.

Because you'll be practicing, simply go to a nearby wrecker and zap some with a grinder. I'd advise you to go with a straight pipe.

Why are people advising straight pipe? G13's sound awful with no muffler(s)
