Hey all, I am needing a new fuel tank for my 89 sierra. I am having to buy a tank from ebay it seems and then buy a bash guard for it, as i have turned my 40l tank to a roughly 30l tank. Is this my only option? I want to keep the tank in its stock location and not looking for a long range tank. I am happy to go the standard route as it seems to serve well but always looking for better options if they are available.

Pump your tank out with air and put a guard on it. Aren’t you efi though? You’ll need a maruti gypsy/sj80 tank.

If you’re going to buy a new tank buy one to suit efi. I wouldn’t buy a new carb tank and compromise the fuel system when you have a choice.
