I have just purchased a new shifter know for my 2014 manual jimny and am stuck on how to remove the oem knob. I've managed to get as far as the bottom collar but every time I try and remove the knob itself it doesn't want to budge. I feel like I'm gonna snap something if I keep going down this path. Anyone have any tips or tricks to get these bad boys off without damaging anything? Ally searches are fruitless. Cheers

All good. I managed to twist it off with the help of 2 others and 2 sets of pipe wrenches. Thread was coated in loctite thread locker. Took some serious force to get it off.
