I have a SJ80V. This is what’s on the plate under the hood (see photo).

Everywhere I look I find reference to SJ80, but not what’s on the plate on my vehicle. Is there a difference between the SJ80V and the SJ80?

Thanks

SJ80V= hardtop (van)
SJ80= soft top

Sierras have a letter suffix that denote the body style. By the time the SJ80 came along the body styles where reduced to a minimum.

Originally no suffix meant it was a soft top with canvas door tops.
Q= soft top with steel/glass doors
V= Van/hardtop
P= pickup/cab chassis
K= Pickup with factory fitted pressed steel tray
W= Longbody LWB
