Can anyone definitively confirm or deny if there is an aftermarket steel wheel to fit these cars? I want to increase my offset to -12 or -15 but tyre shops want a purchase of the wheel before I can test fit and if it doesn't fit won't refund. I called Dynamic and they say none of their wheels fit. But I'm seeing heaps of conflicting information online.

Ideal size for me is 16*7 ET-12

What's being hijacked? You've started a new thread?

I am not aware of an aftermarket steel wheel that will clear the brakes. The conventional construction of a steel aftermarket wheel involves welding the centre to the drop well of the wheel. This results in clearance issues because the centre and drop well can't clear the brakes.

The stock GV rims have the centre welded to the outside face of the rim which gets it away from the well and increases brake clearance. I'm not aware of an aftermarket steel rim made this way as it requires special tooling and careful design. You'll note how complex the centre design is on a stock GV rim - nobody is pressing an aftermarket rim like that.

You're going to find your options are alloy (which don't have the same issue as they're cast in one piece), stock XL-7 (16X7 ET5) or stock GV/XL-7 with a spacer, or maybe a 17"rim which will provide more room for the centre and well around the brakes.

They do (or did) make some. Look at mine. I did have to reprofile the front calipers a touch to clear that weld issue. And these are 15".

The narrow body version you have there will clear 15” rims. The wide body will not.

Trackers & Grand Vitaras are very different when it comes to the brakes - all the Trackers (1989~2005) were supplied with 15" wheels, the 2.0 & 2.5 liter Grand Vitaras use a larger brake that requires a 16" rim to clear, and as mentioned above, not all 16" rims will clear. 1.6 liter Grand Vitaras, at least the ones I've seen, have the smaller brakes and take a 15" rim.

Suzuki did supply some Grand Vitaras with a 16" steel rim, so there are 16" steelies that do clear, but I'm unaware of any aftermarket 16" ones that do.

If you can find a 5 on 5.5” 17” steel rim that’s not 9” wide lots of people will be very interested
