Hey guys just going through suzistore is fucking with my head at the moment. Apparently my car is a 89 WT SJ50 with a G13A... So i thought... But going through suzistore they have an SJ50 listed as "Suzuki Sierra SJ50 1984-1988 Motor G13A 1.3L 4 Cyl Built in Soft top, Hard top, LWB ute" and a SJ70 as "Suzuki Sierra SJ70 1988-1996 Motor G13BA 1.3L 4 Cyl Built in Soft top, Hard top" So mines a mix of both? Or do they just have the site around funny? Heres a picture of the platea on the car too just so you can see. ![]() ![]() Its either too late in the night or im going nuts... |

89 is the crossover year, so theres just as many n/t parts on your w/t as there are w/t parts on it. generally flanges are n/t, diffs are only 2 pinion, seats are n/t style, flares may be plastic not metal and theres a few other subtle differences but really they can vary from car to car, they just threw the parts bin at that year. |

Yeah thats whats confusing me, ive got metal flares which lead me towards a SJ70 but ive got a G13A which puts me back towards the SJ50... So when buying engine or gearbox bits id be after the SJ50 stuff? |

Widetrack sj50 go to 90 or 91 and they have the early type plastic grill. They are the same as a sj70 except for having a bigger motor. The crossover model has plastic flares so if ya don't have them then it isn't a crossover model |

Mr Rocky is right. I have an 88.5. It has Wt diff ratio but running NT flanges. It has plastic flares. Have been told a few times that they (Suzuki) just stuck there hand in the parts bin and slapped the car together with what they had. |

abclarke wrote: Haha awesome i got a Frankenstein sierra Spose ill just have to keep an eye on what im buying! Really I have only had to worry about flanges. (and that's not a real worry anyway) I'd happily buy a G/box or T/case from a NT or WT for my zook and not even worry about it cause I know it will fit. My brakes are all WT and so it 99% of everything else. Don't worry about it really mate. The 88.5 is 99% WT. |
