Hi all, Looking to do a fair amount of offroad towing mainly beach work and a mate has suggested we fit a transmission cooler and power steering cooler (We have the 2.7L V6 Auto).

Can anyone suggest some coolers and any hints/tips on mounting for the NGV?

Thank you

These are pretty good.

This type has it's own fan which can be thermostatically controlled if you desire. The advantage to the fan assisted type is it doesn't have to be mounted against the radiator or condensor cores.

Thank you that looks and sounds like a good option. I had concerns about mounting the cooler in front of the radiator which i have seen done but assume it degrades radiator performance and or a/c performance etc.

Is the power steering cooler worth looking at?

Adding a cooler in front of a radiator will have surprisingly little detrimental affect IF fitted correctly.
The fan setup above can be mounted pretty much anywhere.

I think the factory cooler pipe setup for the PS is adequate.

I think stacked plate type coolers cool better, and resist stone damage better.
I fitted a fan to mine after running without one,
so I would go for a fan built in type.
