Is there a reason why ARB (safari) and TJM (airtec) dont make snorkels for the GV 2004 they make them up to 98 and then from 06 but not inbetween, i found a place in WA that makes them but is there a reason why these big name brands dont make them for it? as in could there be a reason that the car isnt meant to have a snorkel on it?
Also ARB only make front air lockers for the 04 GV but not the rear and TJM dont do any. Where else would make the airlockers for the 04GV?
Cheers

You might find that they don't advertise for the 04 gv but the older snorkel might still fit the newer modles Chec this website for a locker http://www.chinasoong.com/Air-Locker.htm

Yea they don't advertise a snorkle for it but you may find that the 98 or the 06 onwards snorkel may fit your 04 modle gv if it's the same body shape. Try find some one with a 06+ snorkel and see if it fits. Happy reading viewtopic.php?f=5&t=16760&hilit=Chinasong

Don't buy an airflow snorkel, they don't fit. The GIZ ones are good but don't buy them from australia for over $400.

Thats the same as the GIZ one's a few of us are running but FTS brand, when Bailey08 was selling a few spare ones on here, that ebay seller saw the price on here and dropped his over $100. Then put the price back up once Bailey08 had sold them. Just shows how much money he is making on them

I was at arb today and they said they only do the air lockers for the front of the 04 GV in 26 and 22 spline but not for the rear. Where did you see that they do one for the rear?? I got a print out of all the parts they do for the vits but rear aint on it

to get an air locker in the rear of a GV you need to use a Vitara 12 bolt rear air locker & a Vitara diff centre/3rd member with the GV crownwheel & pinion

This one is twin locked it's a 99 model but there still the same viewtopic.php?f=4&t=4723I'm pretty sure you need to use the rear third member off a older vitara and swap your diff gears with airlocker into that housing If ya keeping the stock diff gears you want a RD79 for the rear and a RD208 for the front If ya changing to 5.12 diff gears there is two different rear crown wheel types (10 bolt & 12 bolt) 10bolt will need an RD74 12 bolt will need an RD79 Front will still be a RD208

And how much would all that cost to change the rear to a vitara?? would it be worth it? is it more useful to have the front or rear locked?

You could pick up a vitara rear third member off here for $100 then $400 or so to fit your gears and airlocker plus the cost of the airlocker A locker up front would make up for lack of travel but a locker up back works very well too
