hi guys the fuel guage and water temp guages arnt working in my 89 sierra, any idea what would cause this? are they somehow linked together? They havent worked since i bought it. Cheers |

are they plugged in to the back of the dash ? |

Had the same problem Shane. It was one of the little nuts on the back not earthing properly. Failing that I have a few clusters here your welcome to try. |

It may not be the cluster. I would start at the temp sender on the inlet manifold. Remove the terminal from the sender and earth it out. The gauge should read HOT straight away. If it does, replace the sender. If it doesn't the fault is in the wiring or cluster. Fuel senders are a problem item too. Steve did a good write up on them and it is in the "Good Tech" section. |
