What chop said. They are very good. I have 1 pencil beam in the middle and a spread beam either side :peaceout:

They work really well at the local Westfield Mall pompoms

Look in the business area

Post subject:  Re: HID spotties

You can get them off ebay cheaper than I sell them for. I only discount mine when sold with other items ( bullbars etc). Because I am not buying them in by the thousands like other sellers, or drop shipping from China, I cannot compete on price.

im 99% sure.. ok 100% sure.... lights are to be in matching pairs.. and having 3 may attract Mr plod to write you out a lil ticket(if he is in a bad mood)

Yeah the old 3 spotlight jibberish again.

It may be a law, but it is not enforced. Same as towing ANY trailer at speeds over 80kph is illegal. Once again....not enforced.

Post subject:  Re: HID spotties

really!? Didnt know about the trailer law!? where bouts is that info @ fatty!?
EDIT: best info I can find on this is:
"In all states except Tasmania and WA, vehicles pulling trailers are allowed to travel at the posted speed limit."
"Tasmania is to change its speed restrictions shortly, but at the moment the law restricts vehicles towing a trailer to a posted speed of 90 km/h.
In WA the maximum speed limit is 100 km/h for vehicles towing trailers weighing less than 750 kg and 90 km/h for trailers over 750 kg."

No different than any other aftermarket light.

Most HID spotties have internal ballasts, so its as simple as getting power to them via a relay.....same as any other spot light.

Post subject:  Re: HID spotties

aahh ok shouldnt be to hard

how do you know what amp relay to use?

Author:  Rusho [ Fri May 18, 2012 5:13 am ]
Post subject:  Re: HID spotties

Depends on the wattage of the spotty.

I = W/V (I = current...amps, W= wattage , V = volts)

So a 35 watt spotty would draw 2.9A roughly.

A standard 20A relay is ample

Unless you are going to run more than 6 spotties off that one circuit a 20 A relay will be heaps  pompoms :peaceout:
