Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone can help with the legalities of making your own bull bar.... more specifically do I need to bend all the bar work or can I just cut the pipping on the 45 and weld together to get the angle... I tried looking it up on the Qld department of transport website but couldn't really find a definitive answer..

Thanks

Bends are usually better than cut and shut. It looks better and attracts a lot less attention from plod.
No sharp edges.
No holes a pedestrian might get an arm or leg caught in.

This is from WA but ADR's are national.

No forward facing or protruding component can have less than an 5mm radius. So mitred pipe will give a sharp point. This is not allowed.
