Hey guys, Just wondering if anyone can help with the legalities of making your own bull bar.... more specifically do I need to bend all the bar work or can I just cut the pipping on the 45 and weld together to get the angle... I tried looking it up on the Qld department of transport website but couldn't really find a definitive answer.. Thanks |

Bends are usually better than cut and shut. It looks better and attracts a lot less attention from plod. No sharp edges. No holes a pedestrian might get an arm or leg caught in. This is from WA but ADR's are national. http://www.transport.wa.gov.au/mediaFil ... CI_112.pdf |

No forward facing or protruding component can have less than an 5mm radius. So mitred pipe will give a sharp point. This is not allowed. |
