voltage regulator on my alt has packed it in..


is this an easy/quick/cheap fix by an auto sparky or something that im gonna be waiting and spending alot for ?

Sounds like a good opportunity to drop in a Falcon alternator. Probably cheaper than working on the stock alternator.

engine is a G16A... simple plug in ?

If you have a decent charger and can avoid using power draining devices (such as fan and lights) in your vehicle, charge it up every night and wait till you have the time to do it properly. The regulator in my van has been dead for weeks and I cannot get a replacement. A new one is $1,500. There are other complications so I am running on overnight charge till I can find a solution.
