| Post subject: | Breaking down a Sierra Transfer Case |
Iv been breaking down my sierra transfer case. iv gotten down to getting the output shaft gear assembly out but for the life of me it will not budge out out the rear case half. iv tried what Trail gear says to do but still no luck does anyone have an tips for pulling it out of the case half?? |

tried that didn't budge. tried banging it on a table like instrustions say walled on it with a plastic mallet, nothing at all. seems the bearing just wont slide out. |

Have you removed the speedo drive? |

front output or rear output.? if its rear, speado drive. if its front. i believe there is a circlip? |

hmm it could be the speedo drive, its the rear output. front basically fell out haha |

yes yes yes pull the speedo drive. it will tear the case apart before it comes out other wise. yes im speaking from experience |

alright it is the speedo output, but i cannot get it out. (proably jammed into something now) what the best way to get it out? |

how is this shaft removed i need to get it out so i can clean and paint the case any ideas on how? iv removed the oil seal and circlip. im guessing it might need pressing out? |
